Let’s be honest. You LOVE DOGS! And part of that love is attached to dog personalities.
You’d prefer to be around your dog rather than you would some people. Do you feel guilty about it? No way, because it’s true. Your dog’s personality is often better than some people you may know, or run across.
Why do you love dogs? And what about them makes you love them? It’s something more than the unconditional love they give you – it’s the unique personality each dog has!
Dog Personality Traits
Similar to you and me, a dog may be shy, laid back, on edge, outgoing, or demand constant attention. They may be scared of thunder, love to hunt, or sleep on their backs. Maybe a little tilt of the head and a look that says “I understand what you’re saying.”
Does your dog greet you at the door or lie quietly by your side? Maybe she follows you from room to room when you’re doing laundry, washing dishes, or making the bed. She could get overly excited, or nervous, when she realizes she’s going for a car ride.
And then there are dogs with wacky personalities, that do things like watch TV, jump on the trampoline, or peel and eat oranges like a little person. How about those that howl when you sing, or grin at you.?
Are These Learned Behaviors?
Could these actions be learned, or determined by breed? Sure, some could be, but most are the result of Your Dog’s Unique Personality!
